honey with cinnamon may help
Sorry kitten I have arthritis and i haven’ found out what works.
I don’t know if this will work in you friends case, being so young, and I am not a medical doctor, but my dad had arthritic pain in his leg and I had heard of a product called glucosomine. He started using it and was very impressed with the results, and he is usually very sceptical. I would suggest that your friend consults her doctor with regards to trying this. I don’t think it is a cure but it might help with the pain.
i have it too. i’m 18 and i was diagnosed when i was 15. i had to quit rowing (which was my life), and i missed a lot of school on days when it was too bad in my knees and hips to walk around. i kept my schoolbooks in the classrooms so i didnt have to carry them around, and i was allowed to take the elevator to my classes. i’ve taken lots of medications, some of which made my stomach so sick that i stopped taking them. i’ve done physical therapy (useless) and everything imaginable to make it better. i know it was really difficult for my mom to watch me hurting like i was. it’s been better the past year or so, but every couple of months it flares up and the joint damage in my hands makes it difficult to carry things or unscrew lids.
somehthing i tried which i think may have helped was changing my diet. i’ve always been a vegetarian and the research ive done has shown me that thats the best thing to do. its also possible that dairy or gluten can make it worse. i strongly suggest being on a completely vegetarian diet and seeing if things improve over several months.
i sympathize with your situation, but as far as solutions, i can’t tell you any more than your doctor can.
