Is there anybody that has this experience?

I have an autoimmune disease that I control with medication. When I spend a lot of time in front of the computer, like 3-4 hours, I notice that my rheumatoid arthritis is much worse the following day.

Is there any merit to the idea that the computer emits some kind of output that could be effecting my disease?

My daughter (age 6) is having problems with her urinary tract. In trying to figure out what is going on, I was given a message from a nurse that my daughter’s doc had said if she had more symptoms this weekend, to take her into the after-hours clinic and tell them he had an order on file for a blood test to check for arthritis (the nurse said specifically arthritis, pause, rheumatoid arthritis). Anyone know more about this?

Those things are being diagnosed in women younger and younger. I was curious to know if anyone thought maybe HPV could be an underlying cause no one thought of.

Is there any research going for rheumatoid arthritis?

The causes of JRA are not known since the docotors just treats the patients sympotonously. Is there any research to know the causes of JRA going on and what is expected?

joint pain in any part of the body can occur with what doctors call flare ups. So far treatment is available & works most of the time but for ex. his last flare up was in his knee, took him to ER, took 4 shots of morphine to ease the pain. Regular Dr put him back on prednisone for anothr 10 days. He has so many meds its unreal.
He is also a diabetic with meds & asthma w/meds whn needed. He doesn’t smoke or drink. He also takes depression med because he is only 41 and isn’t used to sitting around and not being able to work.

Please advise.

For more than 3 weeks I have had intense, debilitating pain. When it first started, I could not raise my arm above half way. The pain migrated into my elbows, wrists, fingers and now knees (symmetrical). It is difficult to walk in the mornings and I have pain all day. I can barely type and my hands and wrists feel a though they are being smashed with a hammer they hurt so bad. There is obvious joint swelling; I can’t even wear my wedding ring. The pain is getting worse daily and my first anti-inflammatory did not help. My doctor prescribed me a new one, Mobic, which I have been taking for three days which is also not helping.

The doctor took a myriad of blood tests to identify potential arthritis. The tests came back normal for the most part, with only a negligibly raised RA factor. He thinks I have no problem. I am still going to a Rheumatologist, but I am in awe that my tests are not pointing to RA as I was convinced that is what I had. I’m thankful if it isn’t, but I’m confused. How common is a misdiagnosis? My sister was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease similar to RA that was undiagnosed for sometime. My doctor clearly thinks I am fine, but I know I am not, and you can see the joint issues by simply looking at my body.
