I’ve been getting redness, warmth, and apparent inflammation around my joint areas off and on for a while now. It happens unprovoked in my knees and elbows most often. However, when I exercise, ALL of my joints, (feet, ankles, knees, elbows, wrists, fingers, etc…) seem to get inflamed. & I’m not doing strenuous strength workouts or anything, just some cardio on the elliptical or my Gazelle (which, ironically, is known to be a great piece of exercise equipment for people with joint issues). Anyway, it doesn’t seem to matter what I do in particular, the redness and warmth appear around all my joints after about 20-30 minutes of any aerobic/cardio workout.

I’ve also noticed some stiffness in my fingers and ankles/legs. It isn’t severe, and I’m not sure if it’s any worse than other people experience. Although, I’m only 20, so I don’t think it’s very common to be having trouble making a fist or walking with a normal gait. (But, it comes and goes, and these more striking examples have only happened a few times; it’s usually milder like having to walk up and down the stairs a little funny in the morning because of stiff knees, etc…)

I’ve considered the possibility it could be rheumatoid arthritis… but I’m not in severe, or even mild pain at all. The trouble with inflammation and stiffness around my joints is uncomfortable but there really is no accompanying physical pain. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Should I be concerned?
