Non-dairy diet and whey protein?
I have rheumatoid arthritis and am at the moment on a non-dairy diet.I do consume some dairy products with low fat content, but very rarely a in very small amounts.Since this diet is not prescribed by my doctor (but is recommended by arthritis sufferers) I cannot ask her about the protein.
I was wondering if the whey protein contains enough substances to counteract the effect of my diet?
My goal is to gain weight.

I’m not an expert but I’d say it’s ok.
Your question is not specific enough. What “substances” are u referring to? Calcium? You would have to look at the ingredients in the brand of protein u are drinking. If it’s the protein you are concerned with, again you will have to read the ingredient for the source. You could also just try the protein drink for a few days to see how it makes u feel.
