Perhaps you need a second opinion.
If the treatment remains the same, the results will likely remain the same.
It is difficult to have a condition that lingers and does not respond to the care it has been given for the patient but also for the treatment team.
.
Not sure where you live but I included a study of non healing lesions. The CLUE study/Clinical trial.
Sometimes Clinical studies will allow out of area MDs to participate if they follow the guidelines set.
If you ‘Google’ “Clinical studies” and your state adding “Non healing Rheumatoid arthritis lesions” you may find something closer to your area.
Also you could contact your states medical facility research departments in larger teaching hospitals for upcoming studies.
I also have included a resource on finding clinical studies.
You could ‘Google’ “finding clinical studies” for more.
You say you are unhappy. Depression often results from chronic stubborn problems. Talk to your Dr about evaluating you for that as well.
Best of Luck.
Don’t lose hope!
I am sorry to hear about your situation and it sounds like you might want to speak with another doctor, as well as checking for diabetes, as often slow healing wounds, especially in the feet, indicates diabetes is present.
Also, it can really help to think about the things in life that are made difficult by your arthritis and then try to find ways to make these tasks easier. This is called living with arthritis and is essential to improving both your physical and mental health.
Since you mentioned you are not very happy and you are facing deteriorating quality of life, spend some time writing down the things that you think might be causing this. Then, think about ways that you can go about fixing these things. Don’t be afraid to ask for help! I think this is something that will go a long way to making you feel better, both physically and emotionally.
Please consult your Rheumatologist! As you mentioned earlier this could well be a manifestation of your RA (Rheumatoid Vasculitis?). How long do you suffer from RA? What is your current medication? Is your arthritis exacerbating as well?
