Soy beans puree, black﻿ bean puree, and other bean purees work well as do potato and grain purees.  Unlike fermented vegetables that can keep for years, if you make these bean and carbohydate based fermented products using the instructions in this video, they will only keep a few days, but they are very healthy. 		<description>@Davylp  When I start a new batch of vegetables, I use a few tablespoons of the brine from the last batch to seed the new culture.  You don&#039;t have to, but it will speed﻿ up the fermentation process, usually by about a week.  Otherwise, you must rely on wild bacterial from the air and on the vegtables to seed your culture.  This also works, but it takes longer to get the fermentation going.</description>

You don&#8217;t have to, but it will speed﻿ up the fermentation process, usually by about a week.  Otherwise, you must rely on wild bacterial from the air and on the vegtables to seed your culture.  This also works, but it takes longer to get the fermentation going.</p>
