Aching joint’s any idea what it could be?
For approximately a year or two I have had bad joint pains in my knees. To begin with it was just really painful when bent at a certain angle during and after excessive bending or exercise. My knee’s also used to pop a lot.
September of last year I was tested for rheumatoid’s testing for rheumatoid arthritis and rheumatism, my blood’s came back normal.
My aching knee’s then gradually got worse being painful all the time but some times the pain would be excruciating usually after sudden changes of humidity or temperature or extreme tiredness and sometimes they swell slightly on top. But, now the pain has also traveled up into my hips.
I’m 16 and struggle to stand up for too long or sit down for too long I can’t walk long distances and I can’t run at all I can’t go upstairs and now I can barely walk up onto the pavement and I can’t lift my own legs by themselves. I’m now having to use my hands to move and bend my legs.
I’m also having trouble with my shoulders too which are now also constantly popping like my hips/pelvis (not sure which) and my knee’s, and my elbows also pop (the pop itself is excruciating) when lifting a bag straight up bending my arm at the elbow and then letting it drop.
I’ve also just been tested for celiac’s disease as joint trouble can also indicate this.
My mother suggested Lupus but this is highly unlikely as it is slow and degenerative and usually isn’t noticeable until later years.
Can someone PLEASE suggest something else I can be tested for before I end up in a wheel chair because myself, my mother (who is a nurse) and my two available GP’s have ran out of idea’s.
Please don’t forget that what ever this may be is acually progressive and is getting worse and is more joints than just my knees, so the possibility of it being muscle, tendon or ligament related is unlikely unless there is something that could affect the muscle’s, ligaments or tendons in all these places at once.

Sounds like you have the tendons for you kneecaps tight. That pulls your kneecap up on and into the knee making it hard and painful to bend the knee. Has anybody looked at them? That would also explain the swelling you notice in your knees, the tight tendon is doing that. Once you release the tendons it will allow the kneecap to go back to it’s normal place and not be a problem anymore. Here’s how to release them:
Kneecaps:
Do while sitting on a chair with no front cross braces.
While sitting have your leg resting in a stretched mode. Place both your thumbs, side by side, about 2 inches behind the kneecap and press down into your leg and then redirect the pressure a little towards the kneecap. After 30 seconds, slowly slide your foot back and under your chair as far as it will go, release the pressure but hold your foot there for another 30 seconds.
the important part of this is the pressure down on the leg. If you don’t have enough there this isn’t going to work. If you run into that problem try it again right away. I’ve had to help some out with this for they couldn’t get it themselves and the problem was the pressure.
Also before doing them, take a deep breath and exhale, then try to keep your body this relaxed for best results.
