I used to have Grave’s disease, which is autoimmune, until I had my thyroid gland removed. Now, I believe I have rheumatoid arthritis, which is also an autoimmune disease. Is there some way that I can build up my body so that it doesn’t attack itself? What would be the best diet and/or supplements to get rid of an autoimmune disease? My husband also has an autoimmune disease, so we are both very interested in finding the answers. Thanks!

Ever since I have been young I have had a problem with bending and serverly “cracking” my knuckles ecpecially my index finger. I mean at times I have bended my index finger to the point of numbness, discoleration, and I have noticed that I have done this in particually stressful times I guess unconciousely relieving stress. Ten years later this particualr finger is permenantly swollen and both of my arms are aching. My middle fingers are bending away from my thumbs and I know that this is a sighn of Rumatoid Arthritis…could the presure and pain I have caused my joints over all these years have led to RA!
Also can anyone give a name to my continued self inflicted joint damage

I am 36 years old- and have had extreme pain deep in the bones of my legs, arms, wrists, fingers, and back. I have gone to the chiropractor- xray shows my back has decomposition of the spine. After 8 weeks of care- no relief. I went to my family doctor- and he took labs and xrays. The labs show extreme anemia- but the xrays showed no arthritis/inflammation (he thought it was rheumatoid arthr.). I am happy its not that- but he gave me no other reasons for this pain. I can’t sleep at night- or open doors, jars. Or go up stairs without pain. I have 4 children and run a daycare- so this pain has been interfering with my life. Does anyone have advice? should i go for a second opinion? Thanks ahead of time!

I have all the symptoms of RA and my doctor is sending me for test to determin if I have it. He gave me a script for celebrex and it is working. Will my tes tbe ultered because the medication is working? I know you can have flair ups and it is so much better now since taking the celebrex. Will I get true results to be able to diagnose.?
