I read that Lucille Ball had RA and it was used on her many years ago. I assume it’s an old remedy. Is it still available in any form ?

Can anyone diagnose me?

My name is Terisa and I am in desperate need of help! I am 19 years old and have been very ill for almost a year now. I have seen several doctors (including specialists), had hundreds of tests, and even more medications and treatments to no avail. I am getting pretty desperate because the nature of my illness is one that restricts me to home, limits me to few activities, and most importantly, keeps me in constant pain. I am hoping that somewhere out there is my House. I am looking for a doctor looking for a challenge or someone that has struggled with illness that may have answers! I am willing to take any suggestions so if anyone has any idea of what I could have, please feel free to put in your two cents! And please don’t hold back because of how serious a diagnoses you have. I’ve been told I have all sorts of terrible diseases so I’m not shy about that. The following are my symptoms.

*Wide spread, chronic, severe pain that is worst in the knees, hips, and back. The pain is made worse by movement, sitting, standing, exercise, walking, bending over, crouching down, and on bad days, laying down. The pain is helped by narcotic pain killers and heat but never goes away completely. A normal day my pain is between a 5 and 7 on the pain scale. With drugs, a 3 to 6 (The pain started March 2nd, 2009. At the time I was diagnosed with a bulging disc but I have since been undiagnosed. However the pain mimics that of a bulging disc if that helps.)

How to get prescribed Vicodin?

Been having really bad pain due to my Rheumatoid Arthritis in my knees and ankles and the doctor won’t do anything except tell me to take some Tylenol.

I went to a different doctor and he prescribed me Darvocet, which again does nothing more than Tylenol/Aspirin/Advil. He even raised the dosage and i can’t feel a difference or pain relief.

I’m 17 and understand that teens abuse drugs, but i can’t even have a serious conversation with these college-educated doctors without them assuming something that i’m not aiming for. (Abusing it)

I have a friend that has RA. She needs her medications, but the doctor she use to go to will not give her a prescription for it. She really needs HELP! Is there an organization for people that have rheumatoid arthritis?
She is on Medicare and Medicaid and totally disabled, with a fixed income.

I have a form of Rheumatoid Arthritis, and I’m really trying to buckle down and lose some weight and exercise, because I know that’s going to make me feel a lot better. The only problem is, at the moment I am limited to only stretches. I can’t do a lot of other exercises because of joint pain and a bad arm. What else can I do to lose weight other than cutting out sweets and sodas, drinking more water, and stretching? I’ve put on some pounds and it’s making the arthritis worse. I just feel like dieting and only stretching a little is not helping as much. Will yoga help? Are there any exercises that might be easy on my joints/back that will help me lose weight?
Harley-I would be all for those, but I actually don’t have a colon. I had Ulcerative Colitis, and had to get it taken out. Plus I’d rather not try to lose weight from pills or special diet programs, I just want to be able to exercise and diet on my own and lose it a more natural way.

Do you know what the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence, or NICE, in the UK is? Like the governmental committee to make ‘recommendations’ on care and best practices in Obamacare, NICE was originally set up just to advise on best practices, but mutated.

“What NICE has become in practice is a rationing board. As health costs have exploded in Britain as in most developed countries, NICE has become the heavy that reduces spending by limiting the treatments that 61 million citizens are allowed to receive through the NHS. For example:

It is well clear that rheumatoid arthritis is not brought about by the continued life-long process of joint wear and tear. In fact, its cause lies in an immune.
